KERNOW Football Alliance captain James Ward says it will be 'a massive, massive honour' to captain the team at the CONIFA World Football Cup this summer.
Ward was one of 20 players to be selected in the Kernow FA squad for this summer's tournament in North Macedonia, which runs from May 30 to June 7, in a press conference at Penryn Campus on Sunday.
Ward captained Kernow in their first-ever international, a 5-0 win at home to Barawa at Bodmin Town's Priory Park in May.
In an exclusive interview with the Packet, Ward reacts to the squad announcement, speaks of his pride at leading the team in North Macedonia and reveals that he had to cancel his stag do in order to attend the tournament.
