Former Helston Athletic and Wendron United footballer Luke Jephcott has been named the EFL Young Player of the Month for January.
Jephcott, 20, scored five goals in five games for Plymouth Argyle during a sensational month for the Cornish teenager.
The youngster, who was born in Wales, moved to Ponsanooth at a young age and played youth football for Wendron and then Helston, before being snapped up by Argyle as a 14-year-old.
He made his professional debut last season before being sent on loan to Southern League Premier South side Truro City at the start of the 2019/20 campaign, scoring five goals in 18 games for Paul Wotton's side before being recalled by Argyle boss Ryan Lowe at the start of January.
He was thrust straight into the side for Argyle's trip to Scunthorpe United on January 4 and scored twice as they won 3-1 at Glanford Park.
He repeated the feat in a 3-0 win at Carlisle United a week later before scoring his first Home Park goal in their 2-2 draw with Crawley Town on January 28.
Jephcott has continued his fine form into February, heading home the equaliser in Argyle's 2-1 win at home to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
