LEWIS Goldsworthy took five wickets to help England under-19s beat Sri Lanka to win the Plate Final of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
England set Sri Lanka 280 to win but Goldsworthy dismissed five batsmen for the loss of just 21 runs as they were bowled out for 127.
Former Troon and St Just bowler Goldsworthy, from Camborne, took 12 wickets across the six matches in the tournament.
Victory over Nigeria was not enough for England to qualify from Group C, with earlier defeats to West Indies and Australia ensuring they took their place in the Plate quarter-finals.
Wins over Japan and Zimbabwe set up the final clash with Sri Lanka, with victory ensuring a ninth-place finish in the World Cup.
