FALMOUTH Town signed off from their Bickland Park home for 2019 with a comfortable 4-1 win over St Dennis in the South West Peninsula League Premier West.

David Broglino and Sam Pickup gave Andrew Westgarth's side a two-goal lead at the break, with Joe Cooper extending the lead before Jacob Rowe's late penalty gave the Saints a sniff.

They were promptly reduced to ten men when Martin Sleeman picked up a second yellow, with Martyn Duff completing the scoring for the hosts in the 90th minute.

Falmouth enjoyed a dominant 90 minutes and spurned several good chances, with Matt Buchan being denied by Buchan for the first of several times throughout the game in the fourth minute.

Mikey Davies blasted a rare St Dennis chance over at the other end shortly after, before Tim Nixon glanced Buchan's cross wide from six yards.

But Town got their noses in front in the 18th minute and in some style, with Nixon laying the ball off to Broglino, who took a touch on the edge of the box to set himself before finding the top corner.

Nixon and Buchan were both denied again midway through the half, with the latter's shot saved by Hunkin at his near post before the former rolled the rebound wide.

But the home side went into the break with a two-goal lead when Broglino had another long-range shot tipped onto the post, with Nixon firing the rebound against the underside of the bar, before Pickup slide in to send that rebound into the empty net.

Pickup almost turned provider four minutes into the second half when he played in Buchan, but the striker's shot from six yards was saved by Hunkin at his near post.

Buchan thought he had finally got his goal when he turned home Nixon's left-wing cross at the far post in the 64th minute, but he was denied by the linesman's flag.

Town were camped in their opponents' half and a deserved third goal arrived with 18 minutes to play, with captain Cooper leaping to power an excellent header past Hunkin from Broglino's corner kick.

The Saints had rarely troubled Falmouth's defensive third but grabbed a goal five minutes from time when, after a delay, the referee awarded a penalty for Scott Kellow's challenge on a Saints man, with Rowe firing the spot kick past Steve Parker-Billinge and down the middle.

The visitors' joy lasted two minutes before Sleeman was shown a second yellow card for a late foul, before Duff restored the three-goal gap with a cool finish into the corner in the final minute of the 90.
