PENRYN Athletic reserves made it eight games unbeaten so far this season after a 3-2 win at RNAS Culdrose on Saturday.

Dexter Bainbridge and Kieran Eastwood gave the Airmen a 2-1 lead at the break, but Penryn came back to rescue the points.

The win means both of Penryn’s first teams are yet to lose from their eight respective league games this season.

Penryn hold on to top spot by virtue of goal difference from Porthleven reserves, who won by the same score at home to Carharrack. Lewis Hemsley and Ross Atkinson scored for the Fishermen, who also benefitted from an own goal, with Brad Southeard and Glen Patterson netting for Carharrack.

Lee Cattran scored a hat-trick as Ruan Minor eased to a 7-2 win at St Day reserves. Chris Ensink also netted twice, with Jack Green and Matthew Shaw also scoring for the visitors.

Kiall Maugham and Matthew Wysocki got on the scoresheet for the Saints.

Helston Athletic thirds lost 3-2 at Marazion. Bradley Wills scored two and Anthony Nicholas added another for Marazion, with Jamie Blatch and William Blunt scoring for the Blues.

Wendron United thirds were victorious at Lizard Argyle, winning 2-1. Ryan Bennetto and Lee Pawley scored for the Dron before Luke Higgs replied for Argyle.

Jevon Pryce and Julius Spurgeon scored as Rosudgeon lost 3-2 at Perranporth reserves. Matthew Davis, Dean Harris and Steve Kellow scored for Perran.

Helston and RNAS Culdrose drew 1-1 on Tuesday night. Joe Wright gave the Blues a half-time lead before Harry Hounsome levelled for Culdrose.
