FRASER Paterson scored a hat-trick as Porthleven reserves beat local rivals Helston Athletic to continue their 100 per cent start to the Combination League season.

Ash Stidwell, Ross Atkinson and Olly Christmas also netted as Port won 6-0 at Helston’s third team, making it four wins from four so far this term.

Pendeen Rovers join the Fishermen with four from four after they won 5-0 at home to Rosudgeon. Alex Ralph took his tally to seven for the season with a hat-trick, while Josh Findlay and Danny Earl also scored.

Hayle reserves retained top spot in the division but their own 100 per cent start was ended with a 2-2 draw at home to Penryn Athletic reserves.

Oliver Grant and Jordan Taylor scored for the leaders while Lewis Perrow and Stephen Owen netted for Athletic.

Carharrack are now two points behind Porthleven and Pendeen in fourth after sharing six goals at Lizard Argyle. Dagan Vaughan-Spruce scored twice for Argyle with Tristan Hawkins grabbing the other, while Brodie Kemp, Glen Patterson and Dan Ellis netted for Carharrack.

Marazion picked up their second win of the season with a fine 5-2 victory at home to St Agnes reserves. Josh Nicholls scored two, while Ryan Ellis, Bradley Wills and Kalon Mayes completed the hosts’ scoring.

Ruan Minor ended a three-game losing run with a 3-1 win at home to Perranporth reserves. Gavin Perraton scored twice for Ruan with Will Trewin grabbing the other. Jake Wood replied for the visitors.

Wendron United thirds enjoyed a 5-0 victory at home to bottom side St Day reserves on Friday night. Matthew Trise scored twice for the Dron, with Antony Williams, Josh Padgeth and Zach Alexander also notching.
