Truro City will welcome Tiverton Town to Treyew Road in the preliminary round of the Southern League Challenge Cup.

The tie will be played in the week beginning September 9.

It will be Truro's first Southern League Cup match since a 2-0 defeat at Poole Town in the quarter-finals in April 2015.

Truro began their cup run that season with a 2-1 win at Tiverton in the first round. Barry Hayles scored the winning goal for the White Tigers that day.

The competition features all 84 teams across the four divisions of the Southern Football League.

The winners of the preliminary round ties will advance to the first round, which will take place in the week beginning September 30. The two-legged final will take place at the end of the match, with the first leg in the week beginning March 23, and the second leg the following week.

Stratford Town are the defending champions after they beat Cinderford Town 1-0 in last season's final in April. They will host Halesowen Town in the preliminary round.
