ILMINSTER Town Ladies continued their free-scoring season, with a stonking 11-0 win at home to Swiss Valley, keeping them five points clear at the top of the table.

The Blues looked threatening throughout the game and played some of the best football so far this season. The midfield of Shaw, Miller, Frost and Rowe combined well with defence and strikers. Hayley Phillips organised the defence well, and Swiss Valley rarely got passed them.

Jenny Frost and Alice Charlton scored the majority of the first half goals, while Rowe and Miller had a few shots on goal, and Gem Shaw came close with a shot from 20 yards out that hit the crossbar.

Town, were 6-0 up at half time and continued to dominate in the second half.

Manager Craig Stuckey made two changes in the second half bringing on Male and Carvel.

Ilminster didn’t let up and piled the pressure on Swiss Valley who, at one point, had all their outfield players back defending.

Charlton, Frost, Rowe and Carvel scored in the second half, making thisIlminsterâ?Ts biggest win of the season so far. Scorers were captain Charlton with five, Frost (4), Rowe and Carvel.
