KEITH Potter was in a class of his own in the Windwhistle Seniors’ Monday Medal, when he shot a net 65 to win Division Two.

A big reduction in handicap is bound to follow this exceptional score. Division One was won by Alan Davis with 71, followed by Lawrence on 72, Willerton and Barrow on 74 and Burt, Church and Light all carding a 75.

Division Two was won by Potter on 65, followed by Pearce, Skeels and Wallis on 75 and James on 76. 32 Players entered the Competition.

Tuesday saw the Seniors visit Frome Golf Club where they suffered a heavy defeat at a very tricky venue.

Scores: Pearce & Hill lost to Harrison & Mills ; Murphy & Roy lost to Vowell & Morgan; Fielder & Anderson lost to Wood & Lewis; Chance & Passmore halved with Mathews & Payne; Light & Potter lost to Head & Fear; Aldridge & Trussell lost to Fear & Watts.

Wednesday Roll-Up saw 18 compete in a 'Stroke Index Stableford' where Bentley, James and Rawlings won with a score of 72 points.

In second place were Jeanes, Bales & Rawlings just behind on 71 points. Rodger Robertson, playing off 23, continued recent form with birdies on first for four points and 11th for five points.

The busy week continued with a Thursday visit to Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club. Having won the home leg, the Seniors knew that Bridport would be out for revenge - and they just about achieved it with a narrow 3.5 to 2.5 win. Overall Windwhistle won the tie 6.5 to 5.5.
