WINDWHISTLE Golf Club ladies Siri Anderson and Rita Bassett (above) booked a place in the National Ping Grand Final at Gainsborough in Lincolnshire.
Although they were not in the prize winners they still received a trolley bag, some Ecco shoes and other golfing goodies.
And they said: βIt was a wonderful experience meeting players from all over the country.β
Teams from far and near came to Windwhistle last Thursday for a Bowmaker Competition.
In very welcomed sunshine, but rather windy conditions, a good time was had by all.
Fingle Glen were first, with Enmore second and Kingsdowne third.
The Windwhistle trio of Velma Bentley, Janet Stone and Barbara Shaw came first locally, with Joyce Parker, Jan Warner-Booth and Megan White third.
Best front nine was Windwhislte, while the best back nine was Tiverton.
