Somerset’s Tom Banton will step up to captain Taunton St Andrews when they host Bath Cricket Club in WEPL Premier One at the Wyvern Club on Saturday afternoon.

The England One Day and T20 international takes over the reins in the absence of James Regan who is unavailable this week and will be looking to help the Saints get their first win of the new season under their belts.

Last Saturday the Saints lost at Bridgwater,  from which they took eight points while this weekend opponents Bath had to settle for six from their match that was called off because of the weather.

The Saints First XI for Saturday is- Tom Banton (captain), Gabriel Gallmann-Findlay wicket-keeper, Steve Jenkins, George Thomas

Jack Cooper, Will. Christophers, Toby Williams- Thomas, Jack Harding, Akshay. Bharadwaj Justin  Burke and Toby Pattemore.

The First XI are the only team to have played a league fixture to date this season so all of the other sides at Saints will be hoping to get to play on Saturday.

Taunton St Andrews Seconds are away at Butleigh, Saints A XI are away to South Petherton while Saints B XI are at home to Sparkford
