TWO of the greatest players in snooker history performed in front of a sell-out crowd of 900 people at Wellsprings Leisure Centre, in Taunton, this week in January 2006.
Former world champions Stephen Hendry and Steve Davis took part in the exhibition event, which was organised by Dymond Promotions Ltd and raised £1,100 for the British Institute for Brain Injured Children.
Hendry (the world champion in 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1999) defeated Davis (champion in 1981, 1983, 1984, 1987, 1988 and 1989) by a tight 4-3 margin in their challenge match, and went on to beat local amateur champion Andy Sheehan, too.
Davis rounded off the evening by entertaining the large crowd with a trick-shot session.
