The school’s Under-16 girls team also enjoyed success, winning the county tournament at Millfield - beating Queen’s College in the final.
The next week saw them represent Somerset in the Western Counties Championship, held at Clifton College in Bristol.
Competing against teams from Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hereford and Wiltshire, the Wellington School team played well but just failed to get through to the national finals.
