A POSITIVE Covid-19 test has forced self-isolation upon the Yeovil United squad, but they have taken action to support the local Bridgwater community.

The team train out of Bridgwater & Taunton College each week, and United’s first team squad of 23 players will take part in a sunrise to sunset challenge this Sunday, November 8.

They will look to complete 434 squats each - and 10,000 as a group - to raise funds for Bridgwater Foodbank.

Yeovil defender Sydney Hinchcliffe said: "The community has been a massive part of the success we have had currently and in the past, so we think it is only right to give back when we can."

Bridgwater Foodbank served more than 1,700 people during the last lockdown period of March to June.
