Striker Luis Suarez has left Watford and is expected to be announced as a Granada player in the coming days for a fee believed to be in the region of €15million.

The forward never played a competitive fixture for the Hornets, but impressed last season on loan at Real Zaragoza, where he scored 19 goals in 38 games.

Watford recalled the Colombian at the end of last season, even rejecting an extension to his loan to allow him to play in Zaragoza's playoff matches, with a view to making him an important part of their squad this season.

However, the striker did not want to play in the Championship and will instead return to the club where he spent the 2016-17 season on loan.

The 22-year-old joined Watford in 2017 and was sent out on loan to Valladolid, Gimnastic and Zaragoza.

Reports in Spain suggest that a medical has been completed and the Watford Observer has been told an announcement of the deal is expected before the end of the week.

Pictures claiming to show the striker in Spain emerged earlier this week.
