BRIDGWATER Town co-managers Dave Pearse and Karl Baggaley have taken the bull by the horns and arranged three pre-season friendlies for the first half of August, writes Kerry Miller.

With indications showing that football matches could be back on the agenda next month, the club is set to welcome Southern League Premier South team Weston-super-Mare to Fairfax Park on Friday, August 7 (kick-off time to be confirmed).

The Robins follow that by hosting Somerset County League Division 1 side Somerton Town on Tuesday, August 11 (ko tbc).

The third friendly is a trip to Western League Division 1's Ashton & Backwell United on Saturday, August 15.

New club secretary Kerry Miller has also been in contact with both Exeter City and Yeovil Town to try and entice them to Fairfax Park.

There has been plenty of work going on at the ground in recent weeks on and off the playing surface, with the ground having a full spring clean and polish in time for the long awaited return to league action, whenever that may be.
