BRIDGWATER Cricket Club has raised more than £500 to help the NHS combat coronavirus - and is looking to bump up that total even more.
The fundraising page currently has £525 in donations, all of that going towards Love Musgrove - the official charity of Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
The fundraising campaign was the brainchild of cricket club members Matt Duckering and Mark Rose.
Rose said: “Mr Duckering (Matt) thought it would be a good idea to get his son to cut his hair.
“A WhatsApp picture later, some banter and a bet to shave the lot for £10 turned into £100.
“My son will shave my hair on Monday too and we’ll aim to raise £250 for the Musgrove team and their Covid-19 campaign - food, meals and support for TEAM NHS.”
Duckering and Rose are looking to expand the fundraiser to the rest of Bridgwater Cricket Club - and potentially other cricket clubs in Somerset, too.
