Premier South
Truro City 1, Taunton Town 1
SHANE White's first-half header earned Taunton Town a point away to Southern Premier title favourites Truro City on Saturday.
Held 3-3 at home by Hendon on Wednesday, the Peacocks surged forward from the off and were ahead inside the opening 15 minutes - Dan Sullivan winning a corner and White heading in Ryan Brett's set-piece delivery.
Few real chances followed in the blustery conditions, but the visitors maintainted their 1-0 lead at half-time.
The hosts hit back, though, equalising through Tyler Harvey's close-range finish on 64 minutes.
Both teams had opportunities to win it - Truro having an effort cleared off the line, and Jamie Short shooting just wide at the other end - before a flurry of late shots on goal.
Jamie Price struck the hosts' crossbar, Ollie Chamberlain headed wide from a Sullivan cross, and Lloyd Irish had to be alert to deny Harvey on the counter-attack.
Taunton Town: Lloyd Irish, Jamie Short, Shane White, Ben Adelsbury, Nick Grimes, Jamie Price, Ollie Chamberlain, Ryan Brett, Matt Wright (c), Dan Sullivan (Dan Demkiv 86), Harry Kite (Ryley Towler 46). Subs not used: Ross Staley, Luke Spokes, Tom Purrington.
Next up for the Peacocks is a trip to Farnborough on Wednesday (7.45pm).
