TAUNTON Titans are full of confidence going into their season-defining fortnight in the National 2 South promotion race.

The Titans, in third, travel to second-placed Henley on Saturday before hosting leaders Tonbridge Juddians the following weekend.

Head coach Tony Yapp said: “Last Saturday [a 40-32 win over Worthing], we were as good in attack as we have been all season.

“We can take great confidence from that going to Henley, though we are under no illusions as to how tough it will be.

“We beat them in the reverse fixture, which gives us a bit of a boost psychologically.

“We have to start well. We can’t leave it 40 or 50 minutes until we get started or we will be punished.”

Yapp, who has selected a similar squad to that which beat Worthing, added: “It is nice to have it in our hands - we know if we win the next two we will probably be top.

“Realistically, we probably have to win at least one of them to stay in contention but, however these next two weeks go, there will be plenty of twists and turns to come between now and the end of the season.”

Taunton Titans squad to face Henley: 1. Connor Baker; 2. George Gosling; 3. Isaac Dalton; 4. Cory Teague; 5. Brett Harvey; 6. Ben Oliphant-Thompson; 7. Charlie Williams; 8. Dan Lee (capt); 9. Lewis Webb; 10. Sam Baker; 11. Greg Kitson; 12. Toby East; 13. Nick Mason; 14. Jack Arnott; 15. Gary Kingdom. Replacements: Alex Rodd, Sonny Haines, Stuart Persey, Thomas Wyatt, James Tait

Elsewhere this weekend, Western Counties (West) leaders Wellington travel to Kingsbridge.

Wiveliscombe, who let a 14-0 lead slip in their 41-17 defeat against Chard last time out, face a long trip to St Austell in the same division.
