BRIDGWATER Town head into tomorrow's FA Vase third round clash with Bradford Town boosted by the signing of an attacking midfielder from another of their league rivals.
The Robins saw Tuesday's scheduled Les Phillips Cup tie at Wells City rained off, but they have been busy off the field this week.
Bridgwater may sit behind Bradford and Plymouth Parkway in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division standings, but they have managed to tempt Sean Thomson to join them from Parkway.
Thomson is an attacking midfielder who is a regular member of the Army FA squad.
Tomorrow's match is worth £1,125 to the winning side, and Robins co-manager Dave Pearse knows that his side will have to be at their best to scoop that prize money and a place in the fourth round.
“Bradford will be direct - they have an experienced manager and a big striker who is a handful," Pearse told the Mercury.
“We will look to stop the supply to him but we also have to focus on our game rather than worrying about other teams.
"If we are on it, hopefully our quality will shine through.”
A supporters' coach is running to Bradford, costing £10 and leaving Fairfax Park at 11.30am.
