THE wet weather continues to wreak havoc on the football programme, with Bridgwater Town's Les Phillips Cup tie away to Wells City - scheduled for this evening - being called off.
Wells tweeted: "Unfortunately the rain gods have got the better of us today and our game against Bridgwater Town in the Les Phillips Cup has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch."
A new date for the match is set to be announced in due course.
It is the latest in a long list of postponements affecting Bridgwater, with their FA Vase tie at Saltash United twice being called off, with the same fate befalling their league game against Cadbury Heath earlier this month.
Their next scheduled fixture is away to Bradford Town in the FA Vase third round, this coming Saturday (ko 3pm).
