Watchet Town Knights Under-12s were involved in a 10-goal thriller in their trip to Wembdon on a wet Saturday morning.

Watchet emerged victorious, 6-4, to set up a home tie against Wessex Knights in the next round of the Under-12s Knockout Cup within the Taunton Youth League.

The young Town side have also made an impressive start to their league season, winning four of their first five matches to sit third in Division 3.

They are next in action on November 16 at home to Wellington United.

Staplegrove Saints Under-13s were also in Wembdon on Saturday morning and eased into the next round of the cup with an 11-1 win.

Finley Keedwell, Charlie Plumridge, Alex Stenhouse and Riley Few each netted braces for the victors, with Noah Heal and Elijah Keedwell also on the scoresheet.
