Division 1
Minehead AFC 1, Burnham United 3

BURNHAM United roared back from 1-0 down at half-time to beat Minehead on Saturday, and preserve their unbeaten start to the new season.

Hosts Minehead topped the Division 1 table after two games, having won their previous match 6-1, and they led at the break thanks to Stefan Phillips’ goal from the penalty spot.

But Joe Selway equalised for the visitors, and goals from Curtis Bradshaw and Harry Penfold secured a brilliant away win.

The result takes Burnham on to seven points, the same tally as leaders Broad Plain House – but their goal difference is three better than Burnham’s.

Next up for Steve Hainsby’s side is a home match with Staplegrove, this coming Saturday (ko 3pm), ahead of a Somerset Senior Cup first round tie at home to Cutters Friday the following Saturday.

Staplegrove have only played two league games so far, losing 4-1 at Broad Plain House and winning 3-2 away to Uphill Castle.
