BRIDGWATER Town look to put an underwhelming start to their league campaign behind them as they host Hallen for an FA Cup extra preliminary round tie tomorrow (ko 3pm).

The Robins have lost 2-1 at Brislington and drawn 1-1 with Cribbs in their opening two Western League matches.

So they will be looking for better fortune when they face Hallen at Fairfax Park.

The Robins were knocked out of both the FA Cup and FA Vase early on last season, so will hope for an extended run this time around - for the prize money and sense of goodwill which come with it.

The Uhlsport Somerset County League season starts this weekend, too, with Premier Division side Middlezoy Rovers at home to Fry Club tomorrow (ko 3pm).

Zoy will look to build on an impressive fourth-placed finish last time around, but it’s likely to be a tough test first up, as Fry Club ended the season in third.

The following Wednesday sees Zoy host Ilminster Town (ko 6.30pm).

In Division 1, Bridgwater Town Reserves open their campaign away to Wells City Reserves, having come fourth in 2018/19.

Division 2 sees promoted Middlezoy Rovers Reserves away to Hutton, while Ashcott host Chew Magna in Division 3.
