BRIDGWATER Town enjoyed a handsome win in their opening pre-season friendly on Friday night, with their second fixture taking place tonight.

The Robins entertained Honiton Town on the Bridgwater College Academy 3G, and strolled to a 6-1 victory over the South West Peninsula League side.

It only took three minutes for prolific goal-getter Jack Taylor to open the scoring, before Ryan Burrows made it 2-0.

The visitors pulled one back on the half-hour, only for Burrows to finish off a flowing move to hand the Robins a 3-1 half-time lead.

Jake Brown extended the lead on 58 minutes, and a minute later it was 5-1 as Taylor grabbed his second.

Burrows sealed his hat-trick with two minutes left on the clock, securing a 6-1 win for his side.
