LAST week was a busy one for sport at Greenfylde First School.
To begin with, the children enjoyed sprints and novelty relays at the recreation ground.
Greenfylde’s quadkids team also represented the school in Yeovil and came just one point short of qualifying for the county finals.
On Wednesday, Key Stage 2 children took part in a School Games day to celebrate the Cricket World Cup.
Events included frisbee, dodgeball, archery and of course cricket.
On Thursday, reception children took part in various field activities and Year 1-4 enjoyed a variety of sports at the Recreation Ground.
A Greenfylde spokesperson said: “All these events enable the children to shine either with their sporting talent or with their attitude towards each other and it was lovely to see children enjoying each other’s successes.”
