Enmore Royals entertained Minehead hoping to take revenge for their defeat last month.

In glorious sunshine, the team was led by captain Paul Martin and Martin Collard, who opened the scoring with a convincing 5 & 3 victory.

This result was then backed up by Mike Rossiter and Andy Atkinson winning 4 & 3, Mick Bovingdon and Wayne Hawley winning 2 & 1 and then Bob Rad and Richard Sykes winning 4 & 3.

Nick Thorne and Vince Coombes managed to get a halve a point. The next two games we were pegged back with two 5 & 4 losses for Andy Woods and Bob Shorthouse and Alan Hurford and Pete Clarke.

Normal service was resumed thereafter with victories for the last three pairings of Andy Chambers and Andy Roff, Andy Criddle and Gilmour Thomson and Danny O'Loughlin and Nick Hughes leaving the Royals with a convincing victory of 7.5 to 2.5.

On a fine afternoon, Enmore Park seniors welcomed the seniors from the Wells club.

With the course in very good condition a close contest was anticipated and most of the match scores reflected this.

However, Enmore used their local knowledge to good effect coming home 5-2 winners.

Iain Stewart with Jeff Saunders lead the way with a fine 7&5 victory; other winners were Vince Coombs with Jim Potticary (4&2), Ben Gliddon with Chris Willsteed (5&4), Carl Netto with captain Steve Lukins (3&2) and Peter Farnell with Dave Cousins (3 2).
