TAUNTON Town have announced the club's first new signing of the summer, and it's a familiar face for many Peacocks fans.
Midfielder Jamie Short returns to the Viridor Stadium, having departed for Tiverton Town, alongside Ben Carter and Jamie Price, in the summer of 2016.
Short then moved to Street in July 2018, making 33 appearances and scoring four league goals last season.
But with Street resigning from the Southern League back in April, Short has made a return to Taunton.
He was a regular in the Taunton side between 2009 and 2016, and so will no doubt be a popular signing among the fanbase.
He also provides Rob Dray with an additional option in midfield, alongside Ryan Brett, Ollie Chamberlain and Matt Buse - the latter's future still to be decided going into the 2019/20 season.
