Toolstation Western League Premier Division

Westbury Utd 0, Bridgwater Town 2

BRIDGWATER Town made sure of a top four finish in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division with a 2-0 win at Westbury United on Easter Monday.

Three points separated the Robins and their fifth-placed hosts going into the match, which saw Bridgwater take the lead inside the opening minute.

Jake Brown was the man to break the deadlock, lobbing the goalkeeper with just 54 seconds on the clock.

Brown then set up Ian Bellinger, whose effort struck the post on 13 minutes, before both Harry Horton and Jake Llewellyn came close as Town continued to push forward.

The visitors scored their deserved second on 37 minutes and again Brown was heavily involved, with his shot saved only for Carl Jones to convert the rebound from close range.

Westbury improved after the break, firing one shot wide before forcing returning Town goalkeeper Jake Viney into action on the hour.

Town created little in the second half but comfortably saw out the match to do the league double over their opponents and make fourth spot their own.

The Robins are back in action tomorrow night (Wednesday) at title-chasing Willand Rovers, where Town lost on penalties in the Les Phillips Cup semi-final a fortnight ago.
