KING'S College alumna Maddie Hinch has been named the world's best goalkeeper – for the third year in a row.
Olympic champion Hinch, 30, was one of five international hockey goalkeepers shortlisted for the FIH Female Goalkeeper of the Year award.
She is currently on a break from international hockey, but earlier in 2018 she helped England to the bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games, and in the summer she played in all of England's World Cup matches as they hosted the tournament.
Hinch starred in the 2016 Olympic final as Great Britain beat the Netherlands to win gold, though it remains to be seen whether she will play at Tokyo 2020.
She studied at King's in Taunton from 2002 to 2007, and she will return to the college to host a two-day goalkeeping coaching camp this summer (June 29-30).
