IT was a blank weekend of football last time out as snow and ice caused postponements to every Somerset County League fixture.
That meant a frustrating weekend for Burnham United and their reserves, but both are back in action on Saturday.
United’s first team, languishing just a place and a point above the Division 1 bottom two, make the short trip down the M5 to face league leaders Bridgwater Town Reserves at Fairfax Park (3pm).
Burnham United Reserves, who sit 10th in Division 3, can leapfrog Somerton Town Reserves with a win at Cassis Close.
United A travel to Shipham in Division 3 of the Weston & District League, with the B team hosting Clevedon United B in Division 4.
In Division 1, struggling Wedmore host third-placed Nailsea United A looking to close the gap on the sides above them at the foot of the table.
Neither Wedmore Reserves nor Huntspill Crowns play in Division 4 - and it is also a blank weekend for Burnham United Ladies in the Somerset Women’s League.
