FORMER Taunton Titans player Ben Moon has been named in Eddie Jones' initial 35-man England squad ahead of the 2019 Guinness Six Nations.

England open up against holders Ireland in Dublin on February 2 (ko 4.45pm), and Moon remains in contention to feature after an impressive Autumn Internationals campaign.

Exeter prop Moon, 29, scored three tries in 25 appearances for Taunton as a 17-year-old in the 2007/08 season, before going on to star with the Chiefs.

And he joins another ex-Titans player – Scotland's Sam Skinner – in being selected for his country as the build-up to the Six Nations intensifies.

Dylan Hartley and Chris Robshaw are among the England players who will miss the Ireland match through injury, and so Owen Farrell is set to captain the side in Dublin.
