TAUNTON Town have received a boost this week, with a quartet of contract extensions being announced.

Midfield dynamo Ollie Chamberlain is the latest to put pen to paper, following news earlier today that defender Ben Adelsbury, midfielder Ryan Brett and striker Andrew Neal had done the same.

All four players have agreed deals that will keep them at the Viridor Stadium until the end of next season (i.e. the summer of 2020).

The quartet have become essential components of the Peacocks squad under ex-manager Leigh Robinson and his successor Rob Dray, helping the club to the top of the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South standings.

Box-to-box midfielder Chamberlain came through the Taunton youth system and is a fans' favourite at his hometown club.

Having played for Taunton's Under-18s, he had spells at Bridgwater Town and Wellington before rejoining the Peacocks in 2015.

Adelsbury and Brett both arrived in Taunton from Truro City in the summer of 2017, with Adelsbury becoming a reliable presence in defence and something of a free-kick specialist, while Brett has excelled as a cool and controlling influence in midfield.

Neal also joined from Truro, but one year later, and he has been quick to make his mark, scoring 25 goals already this season, while also earning plaudits for his tireless running and hassling of opposition defenders.
