TAUNTON Town manager Gary Domone believes the next month will have a massive bearing on where his side finishes in Division One (S&W) of the Southern League.

The highflying Peacocks are in action twice a week throughout November with some vital matches ahead.

After a break of two weeks, second-placed Taunton entertain fellow title challengers Thatcham Town this Saturday and travel to face Andover on Tuesday.

This is followed by games against Burnham, Bath City (Premier Cup) and Swindon Supermarine.

Domone said: "It's a vital month for us.

"There are some very important games coming up against some of the best sides in the division.

"Games will be coming thick and fast and we can win or lose a lot of points."

Taunton have not had a league match since they lost their unbeaten record at Abingdon on October 28. But Domone welcomed the break due to the number of injuries in the side.

The injury situation has now subsided and he says his side are raring to go.

"We desperately needed the break but the lads can't wait to get going again.

"The squad is starting to look strong again and, if we avoid the injuries we have had, we will be a match for anyone."

Ben Willshire, Ryan Havard, Charlie Welch, Steve Cook, Ian Jones, Dean Coppard and Jak Martin have all recovered from injuries, while Ronnie Mowatt and skipper Gary Fisher are slight doubts for this Saturday's game.

But Portuguese striker Sonyo DaMata, one of the major factors behind Taunton's great start to the season, is likely to miss the next three weeks with ankle ligament damage.
