VISITORS from Brittany in France were welcomed to Ilminster by members of the town’s twinning association last month.
A group of 34 guests from Riec-sur-Belon spent a weekend staying with their English counterparts, and enjoyed a visit to Killerton House and a delicious meal at Ilminster Tennis & Bowls Club.
The group were also shown round Dillington House and treated to an account of the historic property from Lord Ewen Cameron before enjoying lunch at Whitelackington Manor.
Mayor Margaret Excell welcomed the group and presented them with an Ilminster Town bag as a memento of their visit.
The chairman of the French group, Jacques le Bris, thanked the Mayor, and spoke of the strength of the association and friendship, and how they looked forward to welcoming a group from Ilminster next year.
