POLICE have said the Stretcholt fire is not "currently being treated as arson".

They have also said no one is believed to have been injured - despite a police helicopter being called out early this morning to look for people they suspected were missing.

Police also believe there are no links with this fire and the one in Creech St Michael or at Bridgwater College.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "While an investigation at the scene is still being concluded, the fire is not currently being treated as arson and no persons are believed to have been injured.

"There are not thought to be any links with the fires that occurred in Creech St Michael on Friday 19 February or at Bridgwater College the day before."
