TWO Somerset towns have been voted the most welcoming places to visit, according to the Traveller Review Awards 2021.

Frome is fourth on the list and Glastonbury is tenth, according to the Booking.com awards.

A spokesperson for Booking.com said "there's no place like Frome".

"Frome’s thriving art and food scenes can be truly experienced on the first Sunday of every month when the entire town transforms into a giant market, celebrating Frome’s heritage," the spokesperson.

"Travellers can take a stroll down the picturesque cobbled lanes, wander through the independent shops, visit a cosy cafe or even stop off for a much needed drink in one of its many quirky pubs."

The most recommended place to stay in the town is Rook Lane House on Christchurch Street West. This bed and breakfast was built in 1904 and is a short walk from the centre of Frome.

The top 10 list includes:
