NEW babies are big news in every family - and we’re giving our readers the chance to shout about it.

Little ones born this year have been a welcome ray of sunshine for families, but Covid-19 restrictions have prevented many parents from showing off their bundles of joy as they usually would.

So we are offering a free service that allows you reach your friends and family in a unique way.

All you need to do is fill in a simple online form here and wait for your good news to appear in your favourite newspaper and online.

That's what these four families did... congratulations to all of you!

Somerset County Gazette:

This is Harmony Willow Kingston, who was born to parents Carley Way and Gary Kingston, from Highbridge, in August. Harmony was delivered at Musgrove Park Hospital, weighing in at 5lb 13oz. Her mum Carley tells us: “Harmony was born via planned C-section. We had a great delivery considering the circumstances. Our beautiful baby girl was born safe and well, and is doing great!”

Somerset County Gazette:

Leo Jay Parsons was born to Chloe and Jason, at home, with a birth weight of 3.13kg. Mum Chloe said: “My waters broke at 1.05pm, my husband phoned Yeovil hospital to let them know and they booked me in for 3pm. But our little man couldn’t wait to come out and ended up being delivered by my husband at 1.55pm!” Leo has three siblings to look after him as he grows up - Cody (13), Rihanna (six) and Skyler (18 months).

Somerset County Gazette:

Freddie was welcomed into the world by Katie and Jez Tottle, who live in Cotford St Luke. He arrived back in May, weighing 7lb 2oz, and his mum said: “Freddie was born during the first lockdown, and had some days in special care. My partner couldn’t be with me during the induction process, but as soon as things started to go wrong he was allowed in to support me through what was the scariest time of our lives. After a Cat 1 emergency section we are both doing well. I can’t thank the NHS staff enough.”

Proud parents Rob and Claire were delighted to be able to celebrate the arrival of Lucy Louise Boyland at Musgrove Park Hospital in a couple of months ago. The family - which also includes Libby, age six - live in Taunton. Lucy weighed 6lb 6oz at the time of her birth, and much like little Leo she couldn’t wait to enter the world! She arrived four weeks early, on September 18, at 9.33am.
