ILMINSTER Fire Station has published photographs of the devastation caused by a massive blaze.
A total of four houses were affected by the fire in Bush's Orchard, Ilminster, yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
And three garages were completely destroyed.
The fire initially spread to two neighbouring properties after breaking out at 4pm.
A fourth house was also involved later on.
At one stage firefighters called to tackle the flames suspended operations due to a gas main being involved.
The fire was finally out by 10pm, by which time all crews had left the scene.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The fire was deemed to be accidental but unsure of the exact cause.
"A total of four houses were affected by the fire and three garages were completely destroyed."
