THE death of a woman in her 60's who died suddenly in Burnham-on-Sea is not being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.

Avon and Somerset Police said they were called to assist ambulance crews at around 9.10am today (May 26) after reports of a sudden death in Berrow Road. 

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police, said they are not treating the death as suspicious. 

 "We were called by the ambulance service at about 9.10am this morning (May 26) to reports of a sudden death in Berrow Road, Burnham-on-Sea," the spokesperson.

"A woman in 60's was pronounced dead at the scene.

"We do not consider the incident to be suspicious at this time and the matter will be referred to the coroner."
