'PLEASE stay away, even if you have a second home here.'
Those are the words of Sedgemoor District Council which is urging second home owners to stay away despite the warm weather.
The district council along with other local authorities and Visit Somerset is also advising people to avoid travelling to Somerset this Easter weekend.
A spokesperson for the district council, said: "Sedgemoor’s beautiful countryside and coast will still be here when the virus has long gone and we will be delighted to see you then.
"Before the long weekend, Sedgemoor staff were reminding owners of hotels, bed and breakfasts, hostels, holiday rentals, campsites and guest houses, remain closed this Easter to help combat coronavirus.
"The message is clear – stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives."
