THIS evening, Somerset will once again join a national initiative to say 'thank you' to key workers during the coronavirus crisis.
Last week saw thousands across the country take to their doorsteps, balconies and gardens to applaud those doing their best to protect during the health crisis.
And this evening (April 2), the tribute is to be repeated, aimed at thanking not only NHS staff, but all key workers, including teachers, cleaners, supermarket workers and delivery drivers.
The second Clap For Carers applause will take place at 8pm this evening - Thursday, April 2.
It comes after the deaths of three more people who had tested positive for Covid-19 were confirmed in the Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust area.
