CORONAVIRUS has hit Downing Street as the health secretary Matt Hancock has tested positive for the infection.
Mr Hancock confirmed his diagnosis in a video message on Twitter today.
The Health Secretary is now self-isolating and working from home.
The announcement was made just hours after the Prime Minister confirmed he has tested positive and is also self-isolating at Number 10.
He said: "Following medical advice I was advised to test for coronavirus.

"Thankfully my symptoms are mild and I am working from home and self-isolating."
And at around 4pm in a tweet Professor Chris Whitty, England's Chief Medical Officer and the Department of Health and Social Care's Chief Scientific Adviser, confirmed that he has experienced symptoms of COVID-19.
Mr Whitty said: "After experiencing symptoms compatible with COVID-19 last night, in line with the guidance, I will be self-isolating at home for the next seven days.
"I will be continuing to advise the Government on the medical response to Coronavirus, supported by my deputies."
