BRIDGWATER College Academy is going to stop children from Reception, Year 1, Year 7 and Year 8 attending school for a month.
A spokesman for Bridgwater College Academy said: "We have had an extremely high number of teacher and support staff self-isolating due to the new Covid-19 guidance released by the government yesterday.
"As today has progressed we have had further staff absences and we have found it increasingly difficult to provide cover for all lessons.
"As a result of this staffing challenge, we have made the decision to close these Year groups from Wednesday, March 18, 2020 with a predicted return date of April 20, 2020."
As it stands students from Years 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 10 and 11 have been told to continue attending the school as usual for the time being.
