BRIDGWATER has seen some very high tides in recent days leading to temporary flooding to parts of the town including Blake Gardens.
High spring tides and a tidal surge have seen the over-topping of some of the sea and river defences, with the high tide last night meaning the level of the River Parrett was just below the Town Bridge - as seen in Mike Cook's picture above.
The flood warning put in place by the Environment Agency yesterday (March 11) warned of the possibility of flooding to vulnerable properties in Taunton Road, Southgate Avenue and Binford Place as well as some in The Clink and Bristol Road Business Parks.
Blake Gardens was hit with some flooding although is expected to naturally drain later today.
Our photographer Ash Magill captured these shots of Blake Gardens on March 11.
