AN ADORABLE three week old rabbit which was found 'soaking wet and shivering' on a doorstep with its sibling has been rescued by Secret World Wildlife Rescue.

When Storm Dennis hit the country last week Secret World were called to Compton Martin by a woman who said she had found a baby rabbit and its sibling on her doorstep.

The woman picked up the rabbit and kept it warm until volunteers from Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill could collect it.

The baby rabbit's sibling unfortunately ran off and was nowhere to be seen.

Marlies Hebdon, reception supervisor at Secret World, said the rabbit is recovering well.

"Due to flooding in the area and saturated ground, it is suspected that the Warren was not safe and the siblings sought refuge close to the finders house," Marlies said.

"The rabbit has now been fully assessed by animal carers and is being hand reared by volunteer Liz Mounsdon, who will care for her until ready for soft release. It has been named Flow."
