FOLLOWING the toughest auditions for many years, Bridgwater Operatic Society are pleased to announce the cast for their next production Made in Dagenham.

With a production team of Director Lucy Taylor, Managing Director Natasha T Green and Choreographer Olivia Handel, the show is a funny, touching and timeless story of how ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they stand together.

The cast includes Kirby Warren as Rita O’Grady, Joe Houlihan as Eddie O’Grady, Andrew Carpenter as Harold Wilson and Caroline Kelly as Barbara Castle.

As well as Marjory Walker as Connie Riley, John Holliday as Monty, Graeme Kelly as Mr Hopkins, Nina Wylde as Lisa Hopkins and Andy Cooper as Mr Tooley.

There is a talented cast of over 40 for this popular feel-good musical comedy about gender equality and women’s rights.

Made in Dagenham is based upon the real-life 1968 sewing machinists strike at the Ford Factory in Dagenham, Essex.

This follows last years successful production of Sister Act, which ran from April 30 until May 4 2019.

Tickets are now on sale for the production which runs from Wednesday, May 13 until Saturday, May 16 at the Macmillan Theatre in Bridgwater. Tickets are £19 including an admin fee.
