ECLECTIC folk music is the order of the night at Ilminster Arts Centre next week.

Joining compere and local folk star Jemima Farey for this unique concert is the rest of her family: mum, dad and her three sisters, known as The Farey Family.

Together the Farey Family comprise an extremely practised sextet of close harmony singers who have delighted people across the south west for the last twelve years or more.

Jemima Farey will also be singing a few songs as a soloist. For those not lucky enough to have already heard her music, Jemima writes original songs incorporating themes including family, loved ones and cherished places. Her uncomplicated yet delicate guitar work provides the perfect accompaniment for her strong and mesmerising voice.

Also featured alongside The Farey Family, is BBC 2 Young Folk Award Nominee Jack Cookson. Jack is a Devon based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer, who combines dry and visceral word play with intricate finger-style guitar arrangements.
