BREAN Pontins has reassured customers that it will welcome children into its park after another Pontins park announced it is banning children to become an adults-only resort.

As reported by the BBC, Pontins Pakefield Holiday Park in Lowestoft, Suffolk, is no longer taking bookings from families, with just adult breaks now being offered.

Holidaymakers from around the country said they were "disappointed" and a petition called "Pontins Pakefield against families" has been set up.

Pontins has declined to comment on the change.

But in a post on Facebook post on Sunday (January 19) a spokesperson for Brean Pontins said their holiday park in South Road will still be open to children.

"Just to respond to the recent news articles we will not be going adult only," the spokesperson said.

"It’s only Pakefield Pontins that has gone adults only absolutely nothing to do with Brean Sands so get booking now February half term isn’t far away so get booking while you can."
