HUNDREDS of cider lovers packed into Rich's Cider Farm to celebrate the age old tradition of wishing good health on apple crops for the upcoming year.
On Saturday more than 300 people attended the annual wassailing event at the farm in Watchfield and watched as the Wassail was carried shoulder high on a sedan chair to the farm’s apple trees where she placed a slice of toast dipped in cider amongst the branches.
Visitors enjoyed tasting more than 20 ciders and live performances from The Skimmity Hitchers and Bob Darch Music.
The event raised funds for The Grand Appeal, a Bristol based charity which supports Bristol Children's Hospital by funding pioneering, life-saving equipment and research.
